Although the runway does not have any instrument approach procedures, it is nearly impossible to land the craft in fog or low clouds. It is extremely dangerous because of its difficult approach. A runway with an up-slope approach and the elevations adjacent to it is 6,588 feet, which is 2,008 meters. The slope band is variable in two places. The highest point is at 18.5 degrees. It is ranked 7th in danger airports by Most Extreme Airport, a History Channel program. Here are some scenes from the James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies".
